TIL instant quote requests are killing my workflow
Lately, clients text me for price estimates before I can even check the job site. It's tough to give a fair quote without seeing the work. How do you handle this rush for quick answers?

Honestly... you're viewing this all wrong. Clients want speed because that's what the world expects now. Giving a fast ballpark quote actually builds trust and shows you're easy to work with. It saves you from visiting sites for jobs that were never in their budget anyway. You can always say your final price depends on seeing the place, but the quick answer gets your foot in the door. Sticking to the old slow way just makes you seem out of touch.

Exactly, been doing this for years. Throw out a solid range based on what they tell you, but always add that the real number comes after you check things out. It filters out the tire kickers instantly. You waste way less time driving to places that can't afford the work. Plus it makes you look responsive, not like you're stuck in 1995.
