Unpopular opinion: Hitting 500 linear feet in a single day with a two-man crew is a bad goal
We did it last Thursday on a chain link job in Omaha, and it just meant we skipped double-checking every post for plumb. Speed over quality is how you get a call back in six months when the whole line sags. Anyone else think these 'milestone' numbers push the wrong kind of hustle?

You're right about speed over quality. We had a foreman pushing for crazy numbers until a whole section had to be redone. Now we set a firm pace and check every third post with a level as a team. It's slower, but the fence is straight.

Know that feeling. I once got so focused on speed I had to redo a whole corner. @the_patricia, your team check idea is way smarter than my old method.

Ugh, that's the worst! Getting ahead of yourself just makes more work later. Smart to slow down and check as a team.
