TIL that buying a $400 digital pattern drafting program was a total waste for me.
It had a huge learning curve and I ended up just going back to my paper and muslin method. Has anyone else found these programs more trouble than they're worth?

Ouch, that's a rough lesson for four hundred bucks. I tried a free trial of a similar program once and spent more time watching tutorials than actually making anything. The old paper method might be slower, but at least it works without needing a software update. Sometimes the simple way is just the right way for the job.

Tech makes simple things needlessly complicated.

My old building's smart thermostat system took three techs two days to fix last winter. Honestly @jakeb25, the worst part is when tech adds layers that can fail and leave you with nothing. Like my mom's new fridge has an app to tell her the temperature, but the door alarm broke and flooded her kitchen. The basic light switch on the wall never needs a patch to work.
