Serious question, why does everyone say the 'alarm clock across the room' hack works?
I tried it for a solid month after seeing it online. My phone was on the dresser, 10 feet from my bed. The first week, I got up. After that, I just got really good at walking over, hitting snooze, and going back to bed without waking up. It added 20 minutes of zombie walking to my morning. The change happened because my sleep drive beat my inconvenience. Has anyone actually made this work long term without just moving the alarm back?

Ugh, same thing happened to me. Read somewhere that it only works if you have to solve a puzzle or do math to turn it off. Sounds like a nightmare.

Wow, I actually used to think those puzzle alarms were a cool idea. Then I tried one that made me solve a math problem. My half-asleep brain could not figure out five times seven. I just laid there hitting snooze on a regular alarm instead. It totally changed my mind, that stuff is pure torture when you're tired.

Friend of mine @kim191 got the exact same puzzle alarm app and ended up rage throwing his phone across the room at 6am lol. He couldn't do 12 divided by 3 in his half asleep state and just lost it completely. Switched back to a normal alarm the next day and never looked back.
