PSA: The 'use a potato to remove a broken light bulb' trick is a total myth
Tried it on a fixture in my kitchen and just ended up with potato chunks stuck in the socket, had to call an electrician from Springfield to fix it. Has anyone actually gotten that one to work, or is it just internet nonsense?

Yeah, the size is a huge factor, but the type of potato matters too. You need a really dense, starchy one, like a big Idaho russet, not some waxy red potato. Even then, you have to cut it clean and push straight in without twisting, which is way harder than the videos make it look.

Honestly, how big was the potato you tried using? Seems like the size would matter a ton.
