PSA: My 'use a binder clip for phone stand' hack just hit 7 broken clips.
They all snapped at the hinge after a week, leaving plastic shards everywhere. Anyone found a sturdier DIY stand that actually holds up?

What did you do, use those clips to prop up a brick? Honestly, you're better off just stacking two coasters or a couple of old game cases. Anything plastic is going to give out eventually with that much pressure. I tried the binder clip thing once and it felt like a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe try bending a thick wire hanger into shape, at least metal won't explode into a million pieces.

Andrew_palmer99 is onto something, just get the heavy-duty metal clips... mine have lasted months without a scratch.
