I finally tested that coffee ground trick for cleaning sinks

I mean, I sprinkled used grounds down the drain like the video showed, but it just clogged up worse. Idk, maybe it's just me but has anyone else had this happen?

Ugh that's rough. What kind of sink and pipes do you have? Like an old metal strainer basket or a garbage disposal? I feel like those life hack videos never mention that stuff matters. My disposal would probably freak out with grounds too.

Disagree, I've used coffee grounds to clean my sink and it worked fine (just gotta flush with hot water after). @phoenix_clark3 mentions the mess, but that's how the scrub action works, you know. Maybe it depends on your drain setup.
