Stepped on the scale this morning and it showed a number I haven't seen since 2019.

It was 218 pounds. I've been just trying to eat more vegetables and walk the dog an extra block, nothing crazy. After the whole juice cleanse mess last year that left me shaky and broke, I gave up on big plans. This just sort of happened without me watching it every day. It feels weird to not be fighting with food for once. Has anyone else had a small shift make a bigger difference than a whole strict program?

That's exactly how it worked for me too. I stopped doing the crazy diets and just started parking farther from the store entrance. It adds up without feeling like a punishment. The fight with food is so exhausting, and letting that go is a huge win on its own. You're right, the small stuff is what sticks.

What do you mean it just happened without watching it? You were watching it, you made those small choices every day. That's the real work, not some magic trick. Giving yourself credit for that is the whole point.

Man, that hits hard. @uma685 is totally right about giving yourself credit. I spent years beating myself up for not doing the "big" workout, but just taking the stairs at work actually changed things. It's those tiny wins that build up.
