Used to hate using cotton rounds for toner, now I just use my hands
For years I thought you had to use a cotton pad to apply toner because that's what all the videos showed. But I kept wasting product and it felt rough on my skin after a few days. Then a client told me her derm said it's actually better to just pat it in with clean hands. I tried it for a week and now I'll never go back. Has anyone else ditched the cotton rounds and seen better results?

That part about watching videos and thinking you had to do it a certain way really hit home. It's funny how we just follow what we see online without questioning it, like how everyone started putting toothpaste all over their toothbrush instead of just a little smear. Same with kitchen gadgets - half the stuff people buy they never use more than once.

Honestly I used to buy every trendy kitchen gadget but now I see it's just more stuff collecting dust.

Right? It's like we all got brainwashed into believing we need a garlic press shaped like a dragon just to crush one clove. My grandma used the flat side of a knife and made the best pasta sauce of my life. Meanwhile, I've got a six-piece avocado tool set sitting in a drawer because I watched one video and thought I needed a special slicer, a pitter, and a scooper for a fruit I can eat in three bites. The toothpaste thing drives me nuts too - you're just rinsing half of it down the drain anyway. What's the next unnecessary life hack people are going to convince us we can't live without?
