Dry skin issues after taking up pottery as a hobby
I just began learning pottery a couple months ago, and I really enjoy it. The problem is that the clay and water leave my hands and arms feeling rough and tight. I make sure to wash up right after, but my skin still gets flaky and irritated. Does anyone here have go-to products or routines for this kind of thing? I need something heavy-duty that sinks in fast, since I use my hands a lot during the day. My usual lotion doesn't cut it, and I'm tired of the discomfort. I'd love to hear what you professionals suggest for post-hobby skin care. Thanks for your help!

What soap do you use, and is the water hot when you wash your hands?

Hey @park.evan, do you use antibacterial soap?

Hold up, are you asking if the water is HOT? Like, burning hot? That's actually not better! In my experience, super hot water just dries out your skin. Warm water works fine with soap to get rid of germs. The soap doing its job matters way more than the temperature.
