Just realized my duct tape repairs were way weaker than I thought
I used to slap duct tape on everything until a buddy in Phoenix showed me how gorilla tape holds up in the heat and it actually stays put for months. Now I keep a roll in my kitchen drawer and haven't had to redo a fix since switching over a year ago - anyone else find duct tape overrated after trying something better?

Did you ever try the clear gorilla tape? It's not as strong but it blends in better (I used it to fix a lampshade and forgot it was even taped for like 8 months).

Always thought the regular stuff was the only way to go but you guys have totally convinced me otherwise.

Woah, totally with you on that! I used the clear gorilla tape on a broken plastic chair leg once and it held up for over a year through rain and sun. @price.tara you're spot on about it blending in way better than the regular stuff. I swear I kept forgetting the tape was even there until I moved the chair. The regular gorilla tape is just too much for small fixes, it leaves that ugly residue. Clear tape is my go to now for anything that needs to look halfway decent.
