Synthetic turf seemed like a great idea until my dog's paws got too hot

My pup yelped on a sunny afternoon, so I pulled it all out. Trying a mix of mulch and ground cover now, much cooler for him lol.

Wasn't there a tech report last year about how heat damages chips over time? I remember it saying that even a few degrees too hot can shorten the life of the device by a lot. So yeah, the heat thing isn't just about comfort, it's about the gadget dying sooner.
