Stop using pressure treated lumber for raised garden beds

I keep seeing people build veggie beds with that green treated stuff from Home Depot and it leaches chemicals right into your soil. Anyone else swap theirs out for cedar or untreated pine and notice a difference in their plants?

Actually new pressure treated wood is safe for gardens since 2004.

@margaret_jackson73 is right about that. The newer treatment methods use copper compounds instead of the old arsenic stuff, so it's much safer for vegetable beds and direct soil contact now. Just make sure you're buying stuff labeled for ground contact if you're putting it in the garden.
