Had a buddy pour cold water on a hot cast iron skillet at a campsite, left a nasty warp. Turns out sliding a cheap aluminum baking sheet under the pan in the sink catches all the grease splatter and keeps your soak water clean too. Anyone else got a dish soap hack from a random mishap?

Funny how the dumbest mistakes teach the best tricks" for real. My buddy tried to microwave an egg to save time and it exploded all over the inside, but now he swears by microwaving them in a mug of water to make perfect poached eggs every time. Never would've figured that out if he didn't make a huge mess first.
