Can we talk about the $8 bottle of dollar store dish soap I bought last week?
It left a weird film on every single glass and I had to rewash them all with Dawn anyway... has anyone else gotten burned by cheap soap like that?

The dollar store soap's film is actually a cheap hard water softener reacting with your glasses.

Wait, did you try the clear one or the colored kind? I used to think dish soap was dish soap, you know, like it all does the same job. But after grabbing a cheap bottle from the dollar store last month, I totally changed my mind. That stuff left my drinking glasses looking cloudy and gave my coffee mugs a weird sticky feel no matter how much I rinsed. Ended up tossing the whole bottle and going back to Dawn, because it just works better without all that leftover gunk. Lesson learned, right? What brand did you try?
