Warning: My month in a tiny village proved slow internet isn't always bad
Everyone complains about spotty connections, but I found it made me plan my work better. I actually got more done by batching tasks, lmao.

Honestly, didn't you find it forced you to be more present too? I had a week with terrible service last year and it was weirdly freeing. I stopped checking my phone every two minutes and just let stuff wait, like letting all my apps update at once overnight. Tbh, I even read a physical book for the first time in ages, lmao. It's crazy how a bad connection can actually make you focus on one thing.

My local library's spotty WiFi does the same thing, lol. It's funny how many everyday glitches now force that single-task focus we lost.

Try putting your phone in another room when you really need to focus, it feels silly but it works. I started doing that during dinner or when reading, and it totally breaks that automatic grab reflex. You're right about bad service forcing a reset, but you can kind of fake it by making your phone harder to reach. After a while, you stop missing the constant checking.
