Just remembered a bad injector job on a 6.0 Powerstroke in Flagstaff
It was a cold morning, maybe 20 degrees, and the truck wouldn't fire after I swapped the injectors. I had a bad feeling I'd pinched an o-ring on number eight. Had to pull the valve cover back off right there in the shop bay, and sure enough, the seal was torn. Ever have a simple job go sideways because of one tiny part?

Yeah, those o-rings are brutal. I started putting a tiny bit of oil on them before I slide the injector in. Not a lot, just enough to help it seat. Makes a huge difference. Haven't pinched one since.

My dad always said the right lube in the right spot saves half the work. It's true for door hinges and it's true for o-rings. People skip that tiny step because it seems small, but it's the small thing that makes the big job go smooth. I see it everywhere now, like putting a little soap on a bolt thread before you run the nut down. That extra ten seconds saves you ten minutes of cussing later.
