Remember when a bad date just meant awkward silence?
Back in 2018, my worst date was just a guy in a Portland diner who only talked about his fantasy football league for two hours. Last week, my date spent the entire dinner at a sushi place showing me his crypto portfolio on his phone, asking for my opinion on his 'investments'. The whole vibe shifted from boring to a sales pitch. Has anyone else had a date turn into an unsolicited financial advice session?

Tbh, it's just a weird flex. Maybe he was nervous and that's his only topic. At least you got free sushi while he talked.

Oh man, I read this article about how info dumping is actually a common neurodivergent thing. Like, it's not a flex, it's just how some people show they're interested and comfortable. They get so into sharing what they love that the social back-and-forth part slips their mind. Makes you see it differently, right?

Nah, not a flex at all lol. I get what you mean @pats89, but some people just really love their hobbies and info dump. Like my buddy who can't stop talking about the best way to detail a car, or my cousin who knows every single baseball stat from 1990. It's not about showing off, they just get super excited and forget to ask about you. Free sushi is a solid win though.
