Overheard a guy say he's training AI on public forums - gave me chills
I was at a coffee shop downtown and this guy was on the phone talking about feeding thousands of forum posts into some model. He said things like 'just scrape the top 1000 comments and you get raw human reactions.' It made me think... what if every dumb argument I had on here gets stored forever and used to predict what I'll say next? I delete old posts but he said even deleted stuff gets cached. Now I'm second guessing every rant I type. Has anyone else thought about how permanent these little conversations might be?

Yo @the_charlie that's wild lol. I actually had the same freakout last month when I found out some bot was tracking my old gaming forum meltdowns from like 2013. I swear I thought that stuff was gone forever after I deleted my account. Now every time I type a hot take I'm like "great, here's another snippet for the robot brain to chew on forever." It's honestly making me second guess half the stuff I want to post, which sucks because half the fun of these places was just ranting without thinking.
