My neighbor told me my lawn mowing pattern was stressing out his dog

I was cutting my grass in my usual back and forth lines last Saturday when my neighbor Jim came over. He said his terrier, Buster, watches me from the window and gets worked up because the lines look like a giant maze. So now I just mow in big circles, and Buster hasn't barked once. What's the weirdest reason you've changed a simple chore?

Man, that's actually really nice of you to change it up for the dog lol. I had to start vacuuming only when my cat is in another room because the sound makes her puff up like a Halloween decoration. It's wild what we end up doing for our pets and neighbors.

Yeah the "puff up like a Halloween decoration" thing is so real. I used to just think pets would get used to stuff like vacuums if you kept doing it. But my friend's dog would shake for an hour after, and seeing that made me switch my whole view. Now I unplug the microwave clock because the beep it makes when the power flickers freaks my cat out. You just end up changing your whole house for them.

Changing your whole house" seems a bit much. Is a dog really that bothered by lawn lines? Sounds like the owner might be the stressed one.
