Dead car battery on a Monday taught me a trick with my gym timer

Parked at the grocery store off Loop 1604 last Monday. Came out to a dead battery, totally my fault, left the dome light on. I had my phone at 4% and no jumper cables. I called my sister but she was 40 minutes out. While waiting, I noticed the parking lot was slightly sloped, so I popped it in neutral and rolled it to a downhill spot. Got a guy with a truck to push me, popped the clutch in second gear and it fired right up. Has anyone else tried the bump start with a tiny slope, or is that just a manual transmission thing?

That second gear pop start is pretty standard for manuals, I've done it plenty of times. But you lost me at the part where a guy with a truck had to push you, that's basically just a normal push start with extra steps. Go find a hill that's actually steep enough and you won't need the truck at all. Also, 4% battery on your phone plus a dead car battery on the same day, that's a rough Monday but not exactly a rare trick, just basic manual transmission stuff.
