Hit 1,000 miles on my bike commute this morning without even realizing it
I hopped on the old Trek this morning like any other day, and when I glanced at my odometer near the end of the ride, it was sitting at 1,003.2 miles for the year. That's from just going back and forth to my job at the warehouse out on Route 12, no extra riding. It kind of blew my mind because I never set a goal, it just happened from showing up every day. Has anyone else had a random number sneak up on you like that?

Wait, you did 1,000 miles just commuting to work? That's wild man. I've been doing my own commute for about two years and I never hit a big round number like that without noticing. It's kind of beautiful how the miles add up when you're not paying attention. Like you said, it's just from showing up every day and doing the same thing over and over. That's way more impressive than some planned challenge because it's real life. Congrats on that, seriously.
