Rant: The customer who argued with my measurements for 20 minutes then paid anyway
I was installing laminate in a small bathroom in Springfield last month and this lady kept insisting her room was 10 feet longer than my laser measure said. She pulled out a cloth tape and stretched it crooked, claiming I was trying to overcharge her. I didn't argue, just offered to lay down the underlayment first and show her the marked lines before cutting anything. She watched me mark every foot with chalk and finally said 'oh, I guess math is hard' and paid the $212 invoice without another word. Has anyone else found that just letting a customer see the proof physically kills the debate faster than any argument can?
