Overheard a customer tell my coworker they'd 'pray for her soul' after a refund denial
I was three racks away and it stopped me cold, she was totally calm about it too. Has anyone else gotten weird religious pushback over a store policy, or was that just my Tuesday shift at the mall?

Flip it around and think about how scared that customer must be. If you need to drag God into a refund denial, your own life is probably falling apart and you're grasping at anything. Praying for someone's soul is just a fancy way of saying you have no actual power in the situation.

People get real bold when they don't get their way. I had a lady tell me God would forgive me for not giving her a discount on a extermination service. She was dead serious too, like I was the one sinning by charging her full price for a roach treatment. Some folks just drag religion into everything when they're mad about money.
