Always thought the 'customer is always right' thing was total nonsense.
Changed my mind after a call last Tuesday. Lady was furious her pressure washing quote was $75 higher than expected. I was ready to argue. Instead, I just listened. She calmed down, said her budget was tight after a car repair. I offered to split the difference, $37.50 off. She booked the full job and two more for her neighbors. Made me realize sometimes they're not mad at you, they're just stressed about something else. Anyone else have a story where listening first actually saved the situation?

Totally! It's crazy how just letting someone vent can completely change the whole vibe.
