My old roommate's drum set took 11 months to officially leave my life
Back in Austin my roommate moved out but left his drum kit in the garage, said he'd grab it in a couple weeks. It sat there through two lease renewals and then he finally called asking if I could ship it to him in Portland for $180. Anyone else had a leftover item outlast the actual living arrangement?

Ha, my version of this is a fake plant from an ex that somehow survived three moves before I finally tossed it in a dumpster behind a Target. That drum set living rent free in your garage for 11 months is honestly impressive, like a squatter with better rhythm. I probably would have caved and shipped it way earlier just to stop tripping over the thing in the dark. But also, $180 to get rid of a problem that big sounds like a bargain compared to the mental toll. Did you actually ship it, or did you eventually sell it to some confused neighbor?
