Vent: My new wireless headset for the cab was a total waste of $350

I bought the ProComm Freedom set last month thinking it would make radio calls easier on a big site. The sound cuts out whenever I swing the boom past the main power lines on the west side of the job, and the battery died after four hours on a ten hour pour day. Has anyone found a reliable brand that actually works around heavy interference?

My foreman swears by his Sena setup on the big bridge jobs. He says the mesh network tech handles interference from rebar and power lines way better. What model is he using, do you know?

Mesh on a bridge site? That's wild, @xena277. I've only seen those Sena units fail hard around that much metal. Your foreman must have some black magic setup going on.
