Question about keeping the load line steady in gusty wind

I've been on a job in downtown Denver the last two weeks and wind keeps messing with my load line on the boom. I saw another operator using a tag line tied to his hook block, anyone else do that or is there a better trick?

Last tower I ran in Tulsa I tried that tag line trick and it just whipped around worse than without it, almost took out a guy on the ground.

Tag lines in any kind of gusty wind are a nightmare. I had one wrap around my leg on a 35 footer a few summers back and it left a bruise for a month. Sounds like you guys dodged a bullet on that Tulsa job.

That 60 foot tower in Tulsa gave me the creeps just hearing about it. Tag lines can be nasty in the wrong wind, almost clocked my foreman once with one on a 45 foot. Glad nobody got hurt, that sounds like a close call for sure.
