Walked into a salon in Boise and the whole staff was wearing fishnets over their faces

Ngl I had a wedding trial in Boise last Saturday and stopped for coffee next to this salon. Through the window I saw every stylist with nylon stockings pulled over their heads, like a filter but in real life. I asked the barista and she said it's some trend to protect clients from airborne glitter during a festival makeover week. Honestly I ran in and asked one stylist if it messed with her vision, she laughed and said she only trims by feel now. Has anyone else seen this or is Idaho just on another level?

Gotta admit I rolled my eyes at the headline at first, figured it was just some weird hipster thing that would die out in a week. But reading about the glitter thing actually makes total sense, especially for festival season where that stuff gets everywhere and sticks to everything like glue. I used to think these trends were just for show, but now I get it, it's basically a cheap version of a respirator that also looks kind of artsy. Plus the stylist saying she trims by feel honestly makes me laugh, you know she's been doing this long enough that her hands know what they're doing anyway. It's not something I'd try myself, but I respect the hustle of making safety look intentional. Idaho might actually be onto something here, weird as it sounds.
