Stop letting clients leave the salon with wet roots under a blowout, I see it every week
I keep seeing stylists at my shop in Boise finish a blowout and send the client out with damp spots right at the crown and nape, and it drives me nuts. Last Tuesday a girl came back 40 minutes later with flat, frizzy sections exactly where her stylist skipped the rough dry. It matters because moisture trapped under a round brush set means the style dies by dinner, and the client blames YOU, not the weather. I know because I tracked it for 3 weeks on my own book, 11 of 14 returning clients with early fallout had damp roots at the finish. Rough dry to 80 percent before you ever pick up a brush, especially at the nape where nobody checks. How are you all checking the crown before the client walks, do you use a cool shot or just your hand?
