Just nailed a balayage on my first real client in Austin
She came in with box dye disaster from 2 months ago and I was sweating bullets, but the foils actually lifted even and the toner took perfectly. Has anyone else had that shaky first success moment where you suddenly trust your training way more?
Watched my old mentor drop a whole bowl of bleach on the floor her first day solo and she just laughed it off and mixed a new batch. That moment stuck with me more than any class did. Messing up is gonna happen, but watching someone stay calm and just fix it taught me more about trusting your hands than a perfect client ever could. Sounds like you hit that same wall and came out the other side.
