Dropped $260 on a portable steamer for facials and I'm honestly not sure if it was worth it
I do a lot of facials at my chair in Sacramento and I keep hearing how steam helps open pores before extractions. So I finally bought a fancy portable facial steamer for around $260 and used it on clients for 6 weeks. The thing is a pain to keep clean and the water tank gets cloudy if I don't use distilled. My clients do say their skin feels softer after a session, so I guess that counts for something. But I'm wondering if I should have just stuck with hot towels and saved the money. Any other cosmetologists here use a steamer regularly, or did you go back to the towel method?
