Took me 3 hours to hang one shelf because I refused to read the box
So my controversial take is that sometimes being stubborn about not reading instructions is a real character flaw, and I proved it in my own kitchen. I bought a simple wall shelf at a hardware store in Sacramento, and the box said 20 minutes, but I spent 3 hours because I mounted the bracket upside down twice. My wife walked in and said "the holes don't line up because you have it backwards," and I just stared at the wall. Has anyone else ever wasted a whole afternoon on a project that was supposed to be quick because you were too proud to read the directions?
