Swore off pre-trip tire checks for a decade until a guy in Amarillo pointed at my sidewall
I was gassing up off I-40 two weeks ago when he walked over and said "you know that bulge is gonna blow around 80," and now I kneel down and run my hand over every tire before I leave the driveway.

Same thing happened to me at a rest stop in Kansas, guy taps my rear tire and says it's got a bubble. Sure enough, it blew two days later on the way home. Now my wife makes fun of me for checking but I don't care.
