Just realized the 'reply all' email trick I use at my office is why half my coworkers won't talk to me
Six weeks ago I started replying all on every group email thread at my office in Akron to make sure managers saw my name on things. Now three people on my team won't eat lunch with me and one guy moved desks to the other side of the floor. Is there a better way to get credit for your work without becoming the reply all guy?
Man, are you sure it was the reply all thing that did it? People get weird for all kinds of reasons at work and it's easy to blame yourself for something you can actually point to. Three people not eating lunch with you could just be they already had their own little group going and one guy moving desks might have nothing to do with you at all. I'd double check before you go making a whole plan around fixing something that maybe isn't even broken. The reply all stuff is annoying for sure, but it's not usually enough to make someone drag their whole desk across the floor.
