Found out the hard way that air drying dishes beats paper towels every time

Wiped down a wet plate with a paper towel last night and ended up with little shreds stuck all over it. After 2 weeks of just letting stuff air dry on the rack, I'm saving like $8 a month on paper towels and not picking lint off my coffee mugs anymore. Anyone else ditch paper towels for drying?

the paper towel lint is the worst, especially on dark plates. i switched to a dish rack a few months ago and it's way better. no lint on my mugs and i don't have to buy paper towels every week.

Wait, you used to dry your dishes with paper towels? Like every single dish, every single time? That's wild to me. I just air dry everything. Shake off the water and let it sit. My grandma used to use a tea towel. But paper towels? That must have cost a fortune. And all that lint. Gross.

Ngl, I was totally that person too. Paper towels on everything, even forks. So much waste. Now I just air dry and wipe down the big stuff with a regular towel.
