Dropped $200 on a fancy espresso machine that barely works after 3 months

I bought a high-end Breville machine back in January thinking it would save me money on coffee runs, but the steam wand clogged up by week 8 and now it leaks water everywhere. Turns out you need to descale it every two weeks with special tablets that cost almost as much as a latte. Has anyone else gotten burned by a pricey appliance that just wasn't worth the hassle?

I read somewhere that Breville machines need that descale routine or they brick within months.

Heard a repair guy say skipping descale is the #1 reason he sees dead Breville machines.
