Just realized the Pentagon's official 9/11 report contradicts itself on flight 93

Read the 9/11 Commission Report cover to cover. Page 44 says the flight was shot down, but page 48 says it crashed. That's a huge gap in a 10 page span. Anyone else catch this or have another source that clears it up?

Flip page 44 and 48 side by side and you'll see the wording is different on purpose. Page 44 is summarizing early witness reports from the day while page 48 quotes the official NTSB crash investigation that came out years later. The report uses "shot down" on page 44 as a misinterpretation of what witnesses actually saw, then corrects itself with "crashed" later after reviewing radar data and debris patterns.

Were the ATC logs you mentioned @parker_park8 showing any radio chatter that matched the witness timeline or was it more about radar blips lining up with debris? Trying to figure out if you can actually pin down a specific moment where the "shot down" story fell apart.

Try cross-referencing page 44 and 48 with the air traffic control logs from that day. That cleared it up for me when I hit the same wall.
