I laughed at my buddy for buying a Faraday cage for his key fob until his car got stolen and mine didn't

At a BBQ in Phoenix last June, he showed me this little $20 pouch, I called it a scam, but sure enough his truck was still there the next morning while the neighbor's was gone, so what little security measure did you dismiss until it proved you wrong?

Oh man, that's the thing about physical security gadgets, they always feel like snake oil until you actually need them. I used to give my uncle crap for keeping a steering wheel club in his old truck, said it was just a deterrent for kids, but then someone tried to break into his F-150 at a rest stop and couldn't get past it while the car next to him got cleaned out. Funny how the cheap, simple stuff can end up being the smartest move.

Nah, those clubs are useless-a thief with bolt cutters gets through them in seconds.
