A foreman in Tacoma said my bull float technique was 'stirring soup' and it clicked
He told me to slow down and let the tool do the work, which fixed my pitting issues on a 40 yard slab. Anyone else get a piece of advice that just instantly made sense?

That "let the tool do the work" thing is everywhere once you see it. My dad always said "stop forcing the saw" when I'd bind up a blade. Same with fishing, yanking the rod just scares the fish. It's like we have to learn to trust the process instead of muscling through everything.

Stop forcing the saw" is such a good way to put it.

Ever try to force a door open when it's just stuck? I've definitely yanked on a pull door that clearly said push (more times than I'd like to admit).
