Passed on a deep dive job and don't regret it

Tbh, the pay was really good. But thinking about all that decompression time, I picked a shallower site instead. My weekends with the kids are more important.

Ha, my friend took that "extra money for the kids" deal last year. Got a fancy title, works till 8pm. His daughter's whole softball season happened without him. He just found her old glove in the garage and got real quiet.

Exactly, you hit the nail on the head @evac40. All those little sacrifices add up for them later on. Makes the hard stuff feel more worth it, for sure.
