My beat-up dive helmet outshined all the new tech last week
We were clearing debris in zero visibility, and the new wireless systems kept dropping out. My old surface-supplied helmet with its wired connection never failed once. I could coordinate with the team without any hiccups. It's proof that sometimes the simple, proven methods are unbeatable.

Mitchell.christopher's right, but old reliable never lies.

What was the actual failure point with the wireless stuff though? New tech fails sometimes, but that's usually a setup or interference issue, not the idea itself being bad. My crew's modern comms let us talk way clearer and share data the old wired units never could. Holding onto proven gear is smart, but writing off all new tools after one bad day seems like a quick way to get left behind.
