Visited the local library's graphic novel section yesterday

I saw a kid, maybe 10 years old, reading a trade paperback of 'The Dark Knight Returns' for the first time. He was completely still, just staring at a page with his mouth open. What comic made you freeze like that when you first read it?

Remember that feeling? I still get it with the last few pages of 'Watchmen'.

Yeah, that feeling @xena373 is talking about is real. It's like when you finish a really good show and just sit there staring at the credits, or when a song ends and the silence feels heavier. Watchmen nails it with that weird mix of dread and hope. You see it in small stuff too, like the last sip of coffee when you know the workday is about to start. It's that quiet moment right before everything changes again.

That quiet moment happens all the time, like right before you send a risky text or step into a cold pool.
