That kid at the comic shop made me rethink my whole pull list

Was at Fusion Comics in Austin last Saturday picking up my usual stack. This teenager behind the counter saw me grabbing the new X-Men issue and just said "you know that run peaked 12 issues ago, right?" I got defensive at first but then he pulled out his phone and showed me the sales charts and reader scores. He was right, I've been buying it out of habit for like 8 months. Made me actually look at what else I could swap in. Anyone else have a random stranger call them out on something they were sleeping through?

Respectfully disagree, I'm still enjoying this run and stats don't kill my fun.

Just focus on the book you LIKE reading and ignore the noise, it's really that SIMPLE.

Hear me out, maybe he had a point on the stats but reading for pure enjoyment is different than reading for a winning streak. I've been loving the current X-Men run just for the character moments and the art, even if the plot isn't hitting every issue. Does dropping sales really matter if you still look forward to Wednesday?
