Warning: Don't waste $60 on that fancy coffee bean subscription

I signed up for a small batch coffee subscription back in January. Paid $60 for the first month. The beans showed up two weeks late and they tasted burnt. I waited another month hoping it would get better, but the second bag was even worse. Anyone else get stuck with a subscription that just wasn't worth the money?

Oh man, I gotta ask - which roaster was this from? Because I've seen some of those small batch places get hyped up on social media but they're basically just reselling cheap commodity beans with a fancy label. Was there any specific tasting note they promised that turned out to be total nonsense? I'm genuinely curious because I almost pulled the trigger on one of those subscriptions last month and now I'm glad I didn't. Seems like a lot of these companies bank on people feeling too lazy to cancel after the first bad batch.
