That one barista who remembered my pour-over order after two months
I walked into this little coffee shop on Main Street in Portland for the first time in like 8 weeks and the barista said 'Medium roast Ethiopian, natural process, right?'. I was shocked because I only ordered from her once back then. She said she noticed I waited for the pour-over instead of grabbing drip and that stuck in her head. Has anyone else had a moment where a barista totally made your day like that?

Seattle based coffee shop on 15th. I'm lactose intolerant and they remembered my specific oat brand choice after four months. I mentioned it once in passing and the barista actually wrote it down in a little notebook behind the counter. Makes you wonder how many other people's weird little preferences they keep track of. That kind of attention to detail is rare and honestly makes me tip way more than I normally would.

Man, that is such a good feeling. I had this one barista at a shop near my old apartment who remembered I always got my oat milk latte with an extra shot after I hadn't been there for three months. She said she remembered because I always asked for the espresso in a separate cup on the side. It's wild how paying attention to the small details can make you feel like a regular even if you're not there all the time. That kind of service keeps me coming back for sure.
