Watched a recycling bin get contaminated at the park and had to step in

I was at Miller Park on Saturday and saw a guy toss a greasy pizza box into the blue bin, so I just walked over, fished it out, and explained to him that food grease ruins the whole batch, which felt awkward but maybe saved that load.

You actually fished it out of the bin? That's some next level dedication. I would have been too grossed out by the old pizza gunk to even touch it. Did he seem to get it, or did he just walk away annoyed?

Totally get what you mean, masonbell... I did the same thing with a set of car keys once. My roommate just tossed them in the trash can under all these wet coffee grounds and banana peels... I had to dig through it all, it was so nasty. He just stared at me like I was insane and then mumbled a thanks, still didn't really get why I was mad he threw them away. Some people just don't see the problem until you're elbow-deep in their garbage for them.
