My trip to the Florida coast last month showed me something scary about the seawalls
I was down in St. Augustine visiting family and noticed the new seawall they just finished is already getting undercut by about 3 feet of sand loss underneath it. Has anyone else seen this happening at their local beaches and what are you doing about it?

Walls just push the problem down the beach, they don't fix anything.

Totally agree with you. It's like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound and hoping no one notices the blood pooling underneath. Those walls just move the erosion to someone else's backyard, and then what, we all just pretend it's fine? Feels like we're fighting the ocean instead of learning to live with it. Solidarity on this, for sure.

That "just pushes the problem down the beach" part hits hard. It's so true, we're just delaying the inevitable and screwing someone else over in the process. Solid with that take, for sure.
