Talked to an old timer at the supply house yesterday and he said I should start charging for shower rod installs
Guy’s been doing carpet for 30+ years and told me he never throws in shower rods for free. Said it’s an extra $25 per bathroom and people pay it no questions asked. I’ve been doing them for free this whole time. How many of you actually charge extra for stuff like that?

Wait, wait - you're telling me people just pay $20 without blinking? That's wild. @jennyp19, I gotta ask, are you using plain old standard rods or do you upsell with some "premium" finish nonsense? I've been doing the same thing but with those cheap toilet flapper valves. I buy a pack of 10 for $8 and sell each one individually for $10 on Facebook Marketplace. People come pick them up, hand me cash, and never say a word. It's like they think plumbing parts are supposed to be expensive or something.
