Knee kicker spring trick saved my back on a 900 sq ft job
Last week I had a big living room in Tacoma, all 900 feet of it, and my knee kicker kept slipping on the pad. I tried roughing up the spike plate with sandpaper, no luck. Turns out wiping the base plate with a dry erase marker stops the slip cold, like magic. Anyone else got a weird fix that makes no sense but works every time?
My old boss in Spokane showed me the marker trick years ago and I thought he was messing with me. Something in the ink leaves a dry film that grabs the pad just enough to hold. It sounds like total nonsense until you're the one not chasing your knee kicker across the floor.
